NARA - Fashion
BIMM Manchester Weekly Features 2nd Issue
Alternative rock with a groove, NARA’s debut single ‘Fashion’ is set to release on the 26th. With their eyes locked onto the end of lockdown and the return of gigs, Fashion is sure to set them in good stead when the bell goes after having played a number of venues around Manchester already.
Fashion’s choppy texture teases a crescendo throughout, with a mix of funky bass, swift lead guitar and a deep voice that exudes sass. It is clear from NARA’s sound that they are dying to bring the party back to the streets.
Their image is very explicitly alternative and classy – with a song called Fashion you would hope so – however I was surprised by the dance sensibilities that the track has been lovingly crafted with. Their image and sound is rich with personality and the band have an air of smug joy, leading me to believe that they are in this, on hundred percent for the fun and love of good vibrations.
Leather jackets, long coats and Doc Marten’s are all tell-tale signs of a Manchester band with a plan, and I don’t think they will waste a second when presented with the opportunity to jump back into the scene.
